Golf societies and corporate golf days have their own needs: matching team polos, prizes and giveaways. Each group needs something slightly different, but all of it should carry the same crest and the same standard of finish.
Member and team clothing
A club polo in a breathable performance fabric is the core item. Quarter zips and lightweight windproof layers cover early tee times and late finishes. For scratch teams and county matches, matching polos and caps make a team look serious when they arrive at an away course.
Embroidery suits golf clothing best. It sits well on technical fabrics and matches the expected standard on the course.
Greenkeepers and course staff
Greenkeepers start at first light, often in heavy dew, rain or frost. They work with mowers, strimmers and spraying equipment, so they need tough trousers, waterproofs and safety footwear chosen to their risk assessment. When working near play, a hi-vis vest or top helps golfers see them on the fairway.
Branded workwear in club colours lets members know staff on sight and adds to the overall impression of a well-run course.
- Waterproof jacket and over trousers
- Safety boots chosen to the job
- Hi-vis where staff work near play
Societies, golf days and prizes
Society days and charity golf days need matching polos, branded caps and gifts for every player. Printed golf umbrellas are a classic tee prize and are seen on the course for years.
Clubhouse and bar staff can wear the same polo as members in a different colour, or an Oxford shirt for evening functions. Pro shop staff can wear the same polos they sell, which helps show off the range.
Where to put your logo
Embroider the club crest on the left chest of polos and quarter zips, and on the front of caps. A small, neat crest is the expected look in golf. A sleeve or right chest can carry a society name or event date. Umbrellas are printed on panels. Greenkeeper workwear can be embroidered on the chest, with the club name printed on the back of waterproofs and hi-vis vests, kept clear of any reflective tape.
Ordering for golf clubs
Most golf clubs start with golf clothing, performance polo shirts and quarter zip sweatshirts. You can order from one garment and add more as you take people on. The logo price drops at 9 and again at 25 garments, and every garment with a small logo counts towards it, so mixing styles and colours still gets the better price. Before anything is made, we embroider an actual sample of your logo and email you a photo to approve, or you can pop in to our Hull workshop to see it.
