Clubs also run junior sections, softball and midweek T20 nights, each with its own look but the same badge. Volunteers who run the bar, the tea room and the scorebox are part of the picture too.
Sun protection in the field
Fielders and umpires spend hours under direct sun. A wide-brim sun hat or bucket hat with the club badge is one of the most useful things a club can supply, especially for juniors. Breathable performance polos keep players cooler than heavy cotton in midsummer.
Long sleeve options suit players who prefer to keep their arms covered on very sunny days.
- Wide-brim or bucket sun hats
- Breathable performance polos for training
- Long sleeve tops for full-day fielding
Early and late season
April nets and September fixtures can be cold. A sleeveless or long sleeve knitted sweater in the club style is traditional, but many clubs now add quarter zips, fleeces and thermal base layers for training. Umpires and scorers sat still for hours need a padded gilet or jacket.
Tea ladies, bar volunteers and groundstaff all deserve branded kit too. A polo and fleece in club colours ties them into the club.
Juniors, softball and T20
Junior sections often wear coloured training tops rather than whites. They are easier to wash and hide grass stains. Ladies' softball teams and T20 nights suit coloured performance tops with names and numbers on the back.
A club shop with the badge set up lets parents order caps, hats and training tops without the junior organiser collecting money at nets.
Where to put your logo
Embroider the club badge on the left chest of polos, sweaters and quarter zips, and on the front of caps and sun hats. Cricket kit is often worn for many seasons, so stitching is the right choice. Coloured T20 and junior tops suit printed names and numbers on the back. Volunteers and groundstaff can have their role embroidered under the badge. Keep sponsors to the sleeve or back so the badge stays clear for photos.
Ordering for cricket clubs
Most cricket clubs start with bucket and sun hats, performance polo shirts and jumpers, knitwear and cardigans. You can order from one garment and add more as you take people on. The logo price drops at 9 and again at 25 garments, and every garment with a small logo counts towards it, so mixing styles and colours still gets the better price. Before anything is made, we embroider an actual sample of your logo and email you a photo to approve, or you can pop in to our Hull workshop to see it.
