Branded kit also builds the sense of belonging that keeps members coming back after the first few hard weeks. It also helps a club stand out at gradings, interclub events and competitions away from home.
Training tops that take sweat
No-gi grappling, kickboxing and boxing classes are usually done in a T-shirt or vest and shorts. Performance tees cope with heavy sweat and quick washing better than cotton. For grappling, choose a close fit with no loose fabric to snag fingers, and keep prints flat with no hard edges against a training partner's face.
Gym leggings and fitted tops suit members who prefer something tighter for ground work.
Instructors and grading days
Instructors and coaches teaching in a T-shirt or polo should stand out from students. A different colour, with 'Instructor' or 'Coach' under the logo, helps new members and parents of junior students know who to talk to.
Grading days, fight nights and competitions are when the club is on show. Corner teams in matching hoodies or quarter zips look organised, and supporters in club tees fill a hall with your colours.

Bags, towels and the walk home
Students carry gloves, wraps, a gum shield, a gi or spare kit to every session. A branded holdall or backpack is useful and gets your name on the bus. Embroidered towels are popular with members and suit the club shop.
A heavy hoodie and joggers keep muscles warm after training and are the item most members buy first. Junior members love matching kit too.
Where to put your logo
Print training tees, rash-style tops and vests. A flexible print stays soft against a partner's skin, while dense embroidery can scratch during grappling. Use the back for a large club name or crest, and the front chest for a small logo. Embroider hoodies, instructor polos, towels and bags, which are not used for contact. On gis, check your style's association rules before adding any patches or text.
Ordering for martial arts and boxing clubs
Most martial arts and boxing clubs start with performance and sports tops, printed vests and tank tops and sports shorts. You can order from one garment and add more as you take people on. The logo price drops at 9 and again at 25 garments, and every garment with a small logo counts towards it, so mixing styles and colours still gets the better price. Before anything is made, we embroider an actual sample of your logo and email you a photo to approve, or you can pop in to our Hull workshop to see it.
